More bees

I’m stunned by the number of bees in our yard. Bees of every shape and size, sampling every flower. The pear tree is the main attraction, but only because it is the most flamboyant, positively exploding with blooms. The bees are not so pear-dazzled that they ignore the dandelions and irises, nor any of the other flowers that vie for their attention.

    Rae,
Thank you for sharing your bees with me……our orange tree is a living hive at the moment.

I know I haven’t been by to comment in awhile, but I wanted to let you know your photographs — especially of the squirrels and bees — have meant the world to me over the last month as we have struggled through the illness and most recently the death of my father-in-law last Sunday. You’ve helped me keep my focus on the true and the beautiful, given me air to breathe, and presented a peek at the outside when too often my days have been bordered by walls with no windows. You’ve given me a great gift and I am truly grateful.

    Joyous Spring to you!

      Angela,

Thank you for this beautiful note. I’m touched beyond words. I’m so sorry for your loss, and I hope that spring brings increasing measures of strength and comfort for you and your family.

      Rae
