November Flowers

Somehow, in all of the recent rain and wind and clouds, I overlooked the fact that parts of the yard are still blooming.

All of the pollinators are gone, so it feels as if the flowers want only to be admired.

I still have some snapdragons flowers that have somehow survived some very cold nights and heavily frosted early mornings. But I think some snow will cover them soon. Wonderful wonderful photographs … and I love your idea that those lingering flowers are just wanting to be admired now.

I think all my flowers are finally gone. I had some Lantana and Verbena still in bloom the last time I went out to fill the feeder, which must have been on the weekend….it’s now dark by the time I get home from work, so I haven’t been outside to check. Will definitely do that this weekend, because I’d be tickled if they were still flowering! I find my backyard so depressing in the winter.
